Action research is a form of self-refleleksi research conducted by participants in social situations (including education) to improve the practice of his own. With thereby gaining an understanding of these practices and situations where the practice is implemented. There are two action research that is the essence of improvement and involvement.
This led the research objectives into action in three areas, namely:
(1) To improve the practice,
(2) For professional development in terms of improving the understanding or ability of practitioners to the practice of the implementation,
(3) To improve the situation or circumstances in which these practices implemented.
Action research aims to reveal the cause of the problem and provide steps towards problem-solving. Principal measures taken will form a cycle until he felt there was a repair.
The first cycle and subsequent cycles are:
(1) determining the focus of the research problem,
(2) corrective action planning,
(3) implementation of corrective action, observation and interpretation,
(4) analysis and reflection, and
(5) planning a follow-up. Given the large benefits of action research in the field of education, specific description will be described in a separate matter.
